Evelyn Jane Alexander Ronyak, 88, of Flushing, Ohio died Monday, February 23, 2015 in Forest Hill Nursing Home.

She was born March 28, 1926 in Flushing, Ohio, daughter of the late Joel Edwards and Stella Rouse Edwards Moore.

Evelyn was a retired employee of Star Nursing Home and the former Oakview Nursing Home. She was a member of the New Athens Presbyterian Church.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Rudolph Alexander; her second husband, Steve Ronyak; a brother, Robert Edwards and a sister, Geraldine Sulek.

Surviving are her son, Larry (Chris) Alexander; two grandsons, Cory (Erica) Alexander and Shelby (Wendy) Alexander; her sister, Cora Lee Gossett; three step grandchildren, Sean and Chad Huggins and Heather Wiseman; five great grandchildren, Dominic, Kaylee, Kari, Ian and Devon Alexander; seven step great grandchildren, Baylee, Kiya, Rhian, Wesley, Levi, Felicity and Jaelee.

Family and friends will be received at Toothman Funeral Home in St. Clairsville on Wednesday from 5 to 9 p.m., where services will be held on Thursday at 11 a.m., with Maryann Droll officiating. Burial will follow in Holly Memorial Gardens, Pleasant Grove.
