Eva Jean Craft, 88, of St. Clairsville, died Saturday, July 13, 2019 in Wheeling Hospital.
She was born August 17, 1930 in Boston, Massachusetts, a daughter of the late William Thomas Holliday and Nathalie Lucy Reid Holliday.
Eva was a retired teacher from St. Clairsville Richland City Schools and formerly taught at Cadiz and Bridgeport Schools. She was a member of East Richland Evangelical Friends Church and the Ohio State Teachers Association. She was a graduate of Steubenville College and held a master's degree from West Virginia University.
In addition to her parents, Eva was preceded in death by her husband of 71 years, Emmett E. Craft; an infant daughter, Kimberly Craft; a son, Gerry Craft.
Surviving are her daughter, Cheryl Cox of St. Clairsville; a daughter-in-law, Louise Kidder Craft of St. Clairsville, three grandchildren, Frank W. (Bernie) Mount of Dallas, Texas, Maizee (Chris) Craft Bunner of Caldwell, Ohio and Mandee Craft of Beaver Falls, Pennsylvania; five great grandchildren, Madeline (James) Glunt of St. Louis, Olivia, Emily and Marcy Mount all of Texas and Tyson Bunner of Caldwell; a brother, George (Donna) Holliday of Minerva; and a sister, Mary Belle Puskarich of Cadiz.
Family and friends will be received on Tuesday from 11 a.m. until time of service at 12 p.m. at Toothman Funeral Home in St. Clairsville with Rev. Wayne Ickes officiating. Burial will follow in Richland Cemetery.
Memorial Contributions may be made to the Belmont County Animal Shelter.
