Obituary

Eula Linn Neff, 95 of Jacobsburg, beloved mother, grandmother and friend was called home to be with her Lord and Savior on Friday, April 25, 2003. She was born at Jacobsburg on October 29, 1907 the daughter of the late Samuel Oliver and Luella Fraley Ramsay. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband of 59 years, Carl Edwin Neff.

Also preceding her in death are a daughter, Mrs. Charles (Doris) Maloney; four sisters, Mrs. Clifford (Gertrude) Wiley, Mrs. Robert (Wilma) Dunn, Mrs. David (Bessie) Keyser and Mrs. Irwin (Bernice) Wallace; two brothers, Herman and Wilbur Ramsay; a grandson, B. Eugene Ramsay and a great grandson, Christopher Skelton.

She is survived by four daughters, Mrs. Ralph (Bernadine) Fankhauser of Dilles Bottom, Mrs. Joseph (Eleanor Ann) Beltz of Jacobsburg, Mrs. Wilfred (Shirley) Wharton of Flushing and Mrs. James (Linda) Jeffers of Glencoe; 16 grandchildren; 29 great grandchildren and 5 great great grandchildren.

Eula worked as a postal clerk for the Jacobsburg Post Office for 25 years, retiring at the age of 65. In 1957 she became the treasurer of the Pilgrim Holiness Church at Jacobsburg (now known as the United Wesleyan Church of Bellaire, OH) and resigned in 2001 at the age of 93. She also taught Sunday School for many years. On Oct. 17, 2001 she was voted as an Honorary Member of the Official Board of the Bellaire United Wesleyan Church.

To all who had the pleasure of knowing her, Eula was an outstanding role model of a spouse, parent, grandparent and friend. She displayed a quiet, gentle spirit, unconditional love and Christian faith to everyone with whom she came in contact. It was her daily prayer that the Godly heritage that she began at the age of 40 when she accepted Christ as her Lord and Savior would be carried on by her family. Throughout the years she was able to see many of those prayers answered. Although her presence will be greatly missed on this earth, we rejoice in knowing that she is spending eternity in heaven.

Friends will be received on Saturday 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at the Toothman Funeral Home, Jacobsburg where services will be held Sunday at 2 p.m. with Ray Benesh and Rev. Richard Mehl officiating. Burial will follow in the Jacobsburg Cemetery.
