Dean Eugene Gillogly, 93, of St. Clairsville, Ohio died September 10, 2020 in Wheeling Hospital.

He was born August 24, 1927 in Shortcreek Township, Harrison County, Ohio, a son of the late Strauss J. and Florence Mitchell Gillogly.  In addition to his parents, his brother, J. Robert Gillogly and sister-in-law, Mildred, preceded him in death.

Surviving are his wife, Nancy McConnell Gillogly whom he married on December 31, 1951. Also surviving are his niece Patricia (Richard) Gummere; great nephew J. Kevin Gummere, great niece, Rebecca J. Pope and great great nieces Brynn, Addysen, and Elyse Pope.

Gene was a member of East Richland Evangelical Friends Church, a World War II U.S. Navy veteran, a retired Heavy Equipment Operator from Evick Construction, an Honorary 4-H Member and Life Member of the St. Clairsville Alumni Association.

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, social distancing and facial coverings will be required during visitation at Toothman Funeral Home in St. Clairsville, Ohio on Wednesday from Noon until time of Service at 2 p.m.  Burial will follow in Olive Branch Cemetery, Harrisville, Ohio.
