Mary Ethel Johnson, 97 of Little McMahon Creek Rd., St. Clairsville died Saturday, June 26, 2004 at Park Health Center in St. Clairsville.

She was born May 12, 1907 in St. Clairsville. A daughter of the late George Washington Ault and Lora Sutton Ault.

Ethel was a homemaker, a Presbyterian by faith and a member of the Church of God in Bridgeport.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Walter William Johnson; sons, Lewis and Glen Johnson; daughters, Betty Porter and Louise Mihalic; brothers, James Elmer Ault and Glenn S. Ault; sisters, Edna Conley and Marie Burghy.

Surviving are a daughter, Virginia Sayre of St. Clairsville; a son, Robert Johnson and his wife Melody of St. Clairsville; 12 grandchildren, 28 great grandchildren, and 18 great great grandchildren.

Friends will be received on Tuesday from 3 to 5 & 7 to 9 p.m. at the Toothman Funeral Home in St. Clairsville where service will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday with Ethel?s grandson Robert Johnson, Jr. officiating and Rev. Laurie Armstrong performing the Eulogy. Burial follows in Union Cemetery, St. Clairsville.
