Esther May Sims' Obituary
Esther May Sims, 87, of Powhatan Point, Ohio died Saturday, December 31, 2016 at Liza's Place in Wheeling, WV.
She was born October 6, 1929 in Lowell, Massachusetts, a daughter of the late Jacob Ira Spaulding and Maud Terris Spaulding.
She was a former employee of North American Coal Company's Powhatan No. 7 Mine, and member of the Powhatan American Legion Auxiliary.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Charles N. Sims; a son, Charles; brothers, Leonard and Billy; sister, Blanche.
Surviving are four children, Camie Sims of Powhatan Point, Jo Ann Morrison of Arizona, John Sims of Powhatan Point, and Charles "Butch" Sims of Fairmont, WV; 4 grandchildren; 2 great grandchildren.
Friends will be received at Toothman Funeral Home in Jacobsburg on Tuesday from 6 to 9 p.m. where services will be held on Wednesday at 1 p.m. with Wayne Clark officiating. Burial follows in Powhatan Cemetery.
American Legion Auxiliary service will be held Tuesday at 6 p.m. in the funeral home.
