Eric Lee Cottrell, 43, of Moundsville, WV, died July 2, 2024, at his home.

He was born June 30, 1981, in Bellaire, Ohio, a son of Candy L. Rushman Cottrell and the late Wesley A. Cottrell.

Eric was a self-employed automobile painter and audio technician. He enjoyed flying drones.

In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his grandparents, John and Bertie Rushman and Robert and Lois Mae Cottrell; two aunts, Bertie Underwood and Linda Severance; and an uncle, Roger Cottrell.

Eric is survived by his mother, Candy Cottrell; a son, Carter Duncil; a sister, April Cottrell; uncles and aunts, Johnny (Brenda) Rushman, Tim (Pam) Rushman, Lori Rushman Howells; Gary Cottrell, Rob Cottrell, Renee Pena, Jeanie Betustak and Joseph Cottrell; and cousins.

Family and friends will be received on Sunday, July 7, 2024, from 5 p.m. until 7 p.m. at the Toothman Funeral Home in St. Clairsville, Ohio, where services will be held on Monday at 1 p.m., with Pastor Bill Marinelli officiating. The burial will follow in Greenwood Cemetery, Bellaire, Ohio.
