Obituary

Emory Rogers Necessary II, 74, of Powhatan Point, Ohio, died December 2, 2022, in Allegheny General Hospital in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.

He was born October 6, 1948, in Williamson, West Virginia, a son of the late Emory Rogers Necessary and Louise Moore Necessary.

Emory was retired from the United States Marine Corps after 22 years of service and was a retired manager of Denny's Restaurant in St. Clairsville after 22 years. He is a member of the American Legion Post #228 in Powhatan Point, Ohio. He loved his dogs and cats, he enjoyed working, being on his Kubota tractor and visiting with his buddies at Jim Robinson Auto.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Rocco Adair and a brother-in-law, Bob May.

Emory is survived by his wife of 40 years, Beverly May Necessary; four children, Kathleen Necessary, Duane Necessary, Emory Necessary III, and Kristin Necessary; eight grandchildren, Dallas, Chevy, Novah, Duane II, Elias, Michaela, Chesney, and Brandon; and three great grandchildren, Braxton, Cooper, and Brexleigh.

Honoring Emory's wishes, there will be no public visitation or service. Private services were held at the convenience of the family. Arrangements were entrusted to Toothman Funeral Home in Jacobsburg, Ohio.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Powhatan Point Public Library, P.O. Box 129, Powhatan Point, OH 43942.
