Emmett E. Craft, 92, of St. Clairsville, died Thursday, August 16, 2018 in Wheeling Hospital.
He was born November 11, 1925 in Lamira, Ohio son of the late Emmett E. Craft and Lydia Stevens Craft.
Emmett was retired from B. & O. Railroad. He was a U. S. Army veteran serving in Guam and the South Pacific Theater during World War II and was a member of the American Legion Post 366 in Flushing. He was a member of East Richland Evangelical Friends Church and a member of the United Transportation Union.
In addition to his parents, Emmett was preceded in death by an infant daughter, Kimberly Craft; a son, Gerry Craft; and a brother, Clyde Craft.
Surviving are his loving wife of 71 years, Eva Holliday Craft; a daughter, Cheryl Cox of St. Clairsville; a daughter-in-law, Louise Kidder Craft of St. Clairsville, three grandchildren, Frank W. (Bernie) Mount of Dallas, Texas, Maizee (Chris) Craft Bunner of Caldwell, Ohio and Mandee Craft of Beaver Falls, Pennsylvania; five great grandchildren, Madeline (James) Glunt of St. Louis, Olivia, Emily and Marcy Mount all of Texas and Tyson Bunner of Caldwell.
Family and friends will be received on Monday from 2:30 p.m. until time of service at 3:30 p.m. at Toothman Funeral Home in St. Clairsville with Rev. Wayne Ickes officiating. Burial will follow in Richland Cemetery.
Memorial Contributions may be made to the Belmont County Animal Shelter.
