Emmeretta Ramsay McDonough, 97 of Key, Ohio died Sunday, January 10, 2021 at Country Club Retirement Campus in Bellaire.
She was born October 18, 1923 in Jacobsburg, Ohio, a daughter of the late Forest Ramsay and Ruth Haught Ramsay.
Emmeretta was a retired employee of G.C. Murphy, a member of Bethel Presbyterian Church in Key, a U.S. Navy Veteran of WWII, and a member of Shadyside American Legion Post # 521.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by sisters, Mildred Evans, Lenora Baker, and Helen Pollock; a brother, Willard Ramsay.
Surviving are her daughter, Ann McDonough Zeller of Columbus, Ohio; a brother, Paul Ramsay of Illinois; a grandson, Kristopher Zeller and his wife Catherine Ashby; 2 great grandchildren, Jude and Hannah Zeller.
Due to the Covid-19 pandemic a strict mask policy and social distancing will be enforced at the visitation on Saturday from 3 to 7 p.m. at Toothman Funeral Home in Jacobsburg.
A private burial will be held at Belmont County Memorial Park Cemetery in St. Clairsville.
A public memorial service is being planned for a later date.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Bethel Presbyterian Church.
