Obituary
Emily Joan Ellen McGilton, 82 of Stewartsville, Ohio died Thursday, June 12, 2014 in Wheeling Hospital.
She was born September 29, 1931 in Glencoe, Ohio, a daughter of the late John Palmer and Lena Ady Palmer.
Emily was a homemaker, member of Clarksburg United Methodist Church, and the Bethesda Senior Citizens Center.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Laverne "Tex" McGilton; sisters, Evelyn McGarry, Geraldine Spence, and Iona Travis; brothers, Sanford David Palmer and Earl Palmer.
Surviving are four children, Debrah (Kerry) Duke of Texas, Keith (Lori) McGilton of Alabama, Kevin (Misty) McGilton of Stewartsville, and Kurt (Rhonda) McGilton of Belmont; two sisters, Bernadine Bert Burghy of St. Clairsville and Helen Kasik of Bridgeport; 10 grandchildren; 7 great grandchildren.
Friends will be received at Toothman Funeral Home in St. Clairsville on Monday from 2 to 4 & 6 to 8 p.m. where services will be held on Tuesday at 11 a.m. with Wayne Clark officiating.
Burial follows in Holly Memorial Gardens, Pleasant Grove, Ohio.
Memorial contributions may be made to Clarksburg United Methodist Church.
