Kresak, Ellen, 89 of St. Clairsville, Ohio, died Wednesday, June 9, 2010 at Ohio Valley Medical Center, Wheeling.

She was born in Maynard, Ohio on September 6, 1920 a daughter of the late Mike and Elizabeth Horvath Hanzel.

Ellen was a loving mother and wonderful homemaker who always put her family first.

She is currently a member of St. Mary?s Catholic Church in St. Clairsville and previously of Sacred Heart Church in Neffs, Ohio.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Mike; son Michael; sisters, Elizabeth Hanzel and Mary Lytle; brothers, John, Mike and Andy Hanzel.

Surviving are her daughter, Katherine (William) Hall of St. Clairsville; son Thomas (Diane) Kresak of Florida; grandchildren, William J. Hall, Angela K. (Geoff) Staufer, Jacqueline Owens, Christopher (Jesse) Kresak; great grandchildren, Logan Staufer, Evan Staufer, Courtney Owens, Caden Kresak and Roen Kresak; several nieces and nephews.

Friends will be received at the Toothman Funeral Home, St. Clairsville, Ohio on Friday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. where a vigil service will be held at 3:45 p.m. Funeral Liturgy with Mass will be celebrated on Saturday at 10:00 a.m. in St. Mary?s Church with Fr. Anthony Batt celebrant. Burial will follow in Union Cemetery, St. Clairsville.
