Tipton, Elizabeth Julia, 76 of Flushing, Ohio died Sunday, January 18, 2009 at her home.
She was born August 27, 1932 in Flushing, a daughter of the late James DePietro and Lena Bartolo DePietro.
Elizabeth was a member of St. Paul Catholic Church in Flushing, the CWC, and the Flushing Women's Club.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Mary Beck.
Surviving are her husband, Donald D. Tipton; five daughters, Sheila (William Dawe) Tipton of Des Moines, Iowa., Brenda (Todd) Koegler of Wheeling, WV., Bonita (Fred) Thompson of Bellaire, Anita (Terry) Wallace of St. Clairsville, and Lori (Bruce) Smith of Mountville, PA; a brother, Albert (Meriland) DePietro of Flushing; 13 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren.
Friends will be received at Toothman Funeral Home in St. Clairsville on Tuesday from 2 to 4 & 7 to 9 p.m. A Funeral Liturgy with Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Wednesday in St. Paul Catholic Church in Flushing with Father Frederick Kihm the celebrant. Burial follows in Rock Hill Cemetery, Flushing.
A vigil service will be held on Tuesday at 3:30 p.m. in the funeral home.
