Elizabeth Blanche Stanek, 90 formerly of Bellaire went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, September 15, 2007. She was born March 11, 1917 in Mozart, West Virginia, a daughter of the late Warren Higgs and Blanche Coulter Higgs.

She was a member of the Bellaire Christian Church.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Ernest A. Stanek; a daughter, Darlene Schnieble; brothers, Charles, Clarence, Alfred, and Otis Higgs; a sister, Mary Etta Phillips.

Surviving are three daughters, Betty (Delmo) Weekley of Jacobsburg, Jeannie (Don) Weekley of Fort Myers, Florida, and Mary Eileen "Corky" (Bob) Palmer of Bellaire; two sisters, Woneta Roth and Ruth (David) Hall both of St. Clairsville; 10 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren.

Friends will be received at Toothman Funeral Home in Jacobsburg on Tuesday from 12 noon until time of service at 2:30 p.m. with Rev. Richard Mehl officiating. Burial follows in Mt. Calvary Cemetery, Bellaire.
