Finney, Elinor Jean, 83, of St. Clairsville, died Friday, June 27, 2008 in Wheeling Hospital.

She was born in Wheeling, West Virginia on August 16, 1924, daughter of the late William and Florence Stillwell Hanson.

Elinor Jean was a retired employee of J.C. Penney and L.S. Good Company in Wheeling. She was a member of Calvary Presbyterian Church in St. Clairsville; and a member of Bridgeport Chapter 452 O.E.S. and Past Matron of the former St. Clairsville Chapter 510 O.E.S.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Delbert Harris; her second husband, Bill Finney; and a brother, Harold Hanson.

Surviving are her children, Patricia Ann (Dick) Barnes of Twinsburg, Ohio and Robert James Harris of St. Clairsville; two grandchildren, Doug and Brad; one great grandson; and a brother, James Hanson of Gahanna, Ohio.

Friends will be received on Sunday, June 29th from 1 to 7 p.m. with Eastern Star Services scheduled at 5 p.m. at Toothman Funeral Home in St. Clairsville, where services will be held on Monday at 1 p. m., with Rev. Laurie Armstrong officiating. Burial will follow in Holly Memorial Gardens in Pleasant Grove.
