Eli McKay, 90 of Warnock, Ohio died Friday, September 30, 2005 at Wheeling, W. Va.
He was born at Glencoe, Ohio on September 23, 1915 a son of the late Mane and Simica Vucelich Mikasinovich.
Eli retired from the former Y & O Coal Allison Mine and had previously been employed at several other local mines. He was a member of Holy Resurrection Serbian Orthodox Church at Steubenville the Bellaire Eagles and the Serbian National Federation of Pittsburgh.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a brother Pete McKay.
He is survived by his wife Sophia M. Zabitski McKay; three sons, Eli J. (Mary Sue) McKay of Pataskala, Ohio; Dr. Michael J. (Michelle) McKay of Powell, Ohio and Daniel P. (Pamela) McKay of Brodhead, Wisconsin; four brothers, Nick McKay of Phoenix, Arizona; Dewey McKay of Brilliant, Ohio; Mike McKay of St. Clairsville and George McKay of Phoenix, Arizona; 1 sister, Martha Tazar of Allen Park, Michigan; his grandchildren, Mary Elizabeth McKay, Susan (Troy) Kidd, Madison McKay, Michele McKay, Barbara (Louis) Ricks, Pamela (Bill) Berutti, Lorin (Scott) Sylvia, Julie McKay and Daniel McKay; 2 great grandsons, Carter and Marshall Berutti.
Friends will be received on Sunday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at the Toothman Funeral Home, St. Clairsville where Pomen services will be conducted at 8 p.m. with Rev. Father Michael Kabel officiating. Funeral Liturgy will be held Monday at 1 p.m. in the funeral home with Rev. Father Rade Merick officiating. Burial will follow in the Warnock Cemetery.
A luncheon will be served at Christ the King Lutheran Church, 238 S. Marietta St., St. Clairsville immediately following the committal service.
