Obituary
Eleanor "Lynn" Shafer, 66, of St. Clairsville, Ohio, formerly of Martins Ferry, died January 2, 2015 at East Ohio Regional Hospital in Martins Ferry.
She was born in Wheeling, West Virginia on February 29, 1948, daughter of the late Irvin and Bernice Wilson Speidel.
Lynn was an employee of Rescare Voca Corporation and was dedicated to her work for 29 years and was an SEIU District 1199 member. She was a loving mother and grandmother.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Ronald Shafer and a sister, Audrey Lee.
Surviving are her two daughters, Diane (Roger) Twarog and Rhonda Sankovitch both of St. Clairsville; four grandchildren, Cody Shafer, Breanne Twarog, Breann Sankovitch and Chloe Hutchison all of St. Clairsville; two brothers, James (Mary) Speidel of Virginia and Jonathan (Stephanie) Speidel of Texas; a sister Irene West of Wyoming.
Family and friends will be received on Tuesday from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 p.m. until time of Service at 8 p.m. at Toothman Funeral Home in St. Clairsville.
