Obituary

BELTZ, Eleanor Ann, 76, of Jacobsburg, beloved wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother, died Sunday, May 1, 2011 at Lizas Place. She was born at Jacobsburg on December 2, 1934, daughter of the late Carl Edwin Neff and Eula Linn Ramsay Neff.

Eleanor Ann retired as the only secretary ever at Centerville Elementary School, serving there for 28 years. She was a member of the Jacobsburg Bible Church and Weyer Chapter #515, Order of Eastern Star in Centerville; a member of the Red Hatters; and the Prime Timers Group at the Flushing Alliance Church.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Doris Maloney.

She is survived by her husband, Joe Beltz; two daughters, Kimberly (Randy) Mercer of Flushing, Ohio and Kelly Beltz of Jacobsburg; two grandchildren, Amanda (Luke) Dowdy of Berlin, Pennsylvania and Matthew Mercer of Flushing; a great grandson, Isaac Dowdy; three sisters, Bernadine Fankhauser of Dilles Bottom, Shirley (Wilfred) Wharton of Flushing and Linda (James) Jeffers of Glencoe; a brother-in-law, Charles Buck Maloney of Jacobsburg.

Family and friends will be received on Tuesday from 6 to 8 p.m. and Wednesday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. at the Toothman Funeral Home in Jacobsburg where services will be held Thursday at 11 a.m. with Rev. Richard Mehl officiating. Burial will follow in the Jacobsburg Cemetery.

There will be an Eastern Star Service held on Wednesday at 6:30 p.m. in the funeral home.

Memorial contributions may be made to Valley Hospice Lizas Place or Belmont County Animal Shelter or charity of the donors choice.
