Strawn, Eileen D., 85 formerly of St. Clairsville, Ohio died March 15, 2013 at the home of her daughter in Flushing.

She was born June 14, 1927 in Buffalo, NY a daughter of the late William R. and Lena Foster Barlow.

Eileen was a graduate of Wheeling High School class of 1945. She was a former employee at the former L. S. Good of Wheeling. She was a member of Thoburn United Methodist Church in St. Clairsville and a former member of the Child Study Club. Eileen loved to paint things black, kept an immaculate house and was loved by her many friends, including 3 cats who loved their "fish". She was always helping friends get to appointments and going to movies and dinner on Sundays and she made the best salads for Char and Natalie.

In addition to her parents she was preceded by her husband of 40 years, Bruce A. Strawn in 1991 and her brother, William R. Barlow, Jr.

Surviving are her daughter, Charleen Kolanski (Tony) of Flushing with whom she resided; her granddaughter Natalie Kolanski of Flushing and sister-in-law, Betty Barlow of Beckley, WV.

Friends will be received at the Toothman Funeral Home, St. Clairsville, OH on Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. where services will be held Wednesday at 10 a.m. with Rev. Dr. Bradley Call officiating. Burial will follow in Union Cemetery at Morristown.
