Obituary

Edward J. "Heb" Wilhelm, 78 of Taylor Lane, St. Clairsville died Sunday, June 27, 2004 at East Ohio Regional Hospital, Martins Ferry.

He was born at Bridgeport, Ohio on June 7, 1926 a son of the late Homer H. and Mary Wava Stoffel Wilhelm.

He was a retired carpenter from Local Union 186 at Steubenville, an Army veteran of World War II and a member of First Presbyterian Church at St. Clairsville.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife, Jean McDougal Wilhelm; brothers, Howard Wilhelm and Richard H. Wilhelm and a sister, Frances Pittis.

Surviving are a son, Richard "Rick Wilhelm and his wife Becky of St. Clairsville; a daughter Linda King and her husband Mike of St. Clairsville; a brother, Edgar Wilhelm of Morristown and four grandchildren.

Friends will be received on Tuesday 3 to 5 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. at the Toothman Funeral Home, St. Clairsville where services will be held Wednesday at 2:00 p.m. with Rev. Kim Anderson officiating. Burial will follow in Union Cemetery, St. Clairsville with military honors conducted at the gravesite by the Belmont County Council of the American Legion.
