MILLER, Edward, 92, of Bethesda, died Tuesday, January 8, 2013 in East Ohio Regional Hospital.
He was born in Crescent, Ohio, on August 23, 1920, son of the late John and Agnes Miller.
Edward was a retired employee of North American Coal Powhatan #3 Mine. He was a U.S. Army Veteran of World War II. He was an avid outdoorsman enjoying fishing, hunting and gardening and he had a love of racecars.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by an infant son, Eddie; three brothers, Joe, John and Frank Miller; two sisters, Ann Popernak and Sophia Fierle.
Surviving are his wife of 70 years, Anita Doris Long Miller; two children, Les (Barb Gatten) Miller of New Waterfoed, Ohio and Doreen (David) Ferenczy of Alliance, Ohio; five grandchildren, Darryl Miller, Dennis Miller, Laura (Stephen) Eck, Ryan Ferenczy and Sarah Ferenczy; four great grandchildren, J.T., Matt, Amanda and Mark Miller.
Family and friends will be received at the Toothman Funeral Home in St. Clairsville on Thursday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m., where services will be held Friday at 11 a.m. with Wayne Clark officiating. Burial will follow in Glencoe Cemetery.
