McKIVITZ, Edward S., 71, of St. Clairsville, Ohio, died Thursday, January 20, 2011 in Wheeling Hospital.

He was born April 19, 1939 in McKeesport, Pennsylvania, son of the late Stanley and Thelma Rzephniak McKivitz.

Ed was a retired employee of Maynard Steel. He served in the U.S. Marine Corps; and was a member of New Life Church in Woodsfield.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Surviving are his wife, Marlene A. Kaiser McKivitz; a daughter, Paula McKivitz of Belmont; a son, E. Matthew (Wendy) McKivitz of Centerville; four grandchildren, Seth Edward McKivitz, Jeremiah Shayne McKivitz, Colton Matthew McKivitz and Molly Blane McKivitz; two brothers, John Richard McKivitz of Clairton, Pennsylvania and Joseph Szelaha of East McKeesport, Pennsylvania.

Family and friends will be received on Monday from 11 a.m. until time of services at 1 p.m. at Toothman Funeral Home in St. Clairsville, with Rev. Charles Kane officiating. Burial will follow at Chestnut Level Cemetery.

Full Military Honors will be held at the funeral home on Monday at 12:45 p.m.
