Edward L. Johnson's Obituary
Edward L. Johnson, age 67, of Cadiz, died Wednesday, October 28, 2015 at Ohio Valley Medical Center in Wheeling.
He was born July 4, 1948 in Bellaire, Ohio, a son of the late William Lewis Johnson and Ruth Victoria Underwood Johnson.
Edward was a former coal miner from North American Coal Co. He was a U.S. Army veteran of the Vietnam War and spent time with veterans at the Veterans Center in Wheeling. Ed also enjoyed hunting and fishing.
Surviving are his wife of 35 years, Phyllis Burdette Johnson; two sons, Greg (Miranda) Johnson of Barnesville, Justin (Tica) Johnson of St. Clairsville; two daughters, Meagan and Katelyn Johnson both of the home; six grandchildren, Devan, Justin Jr., Kyleigh, Joey, Zaiden and Daniel Johnson; a brother, Dennis Allan (Renee) Johnson of Statesville, North Carolina; nieces and nephews.
Family and friends will be received at the Toothman Funeral Home in St. Clairsville on Sunday from 2 p.m. until time of service at 6 p.m., with Wayne Clark officiating.
Full Military Honors will be conducted by the Belmont County Veterans Association at 5:45 p.m. Sunday.
Memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association.
