Griswold, Edward L., 91 of New Athens, Ohio died Monday, February 14, 2011 at Cumberland Pointe Care Center in St. Clairsville.

He was born October 10, 1919 in Unity, Pennsylvania, a son of the late Bert Griswold and Mabel Texter Griswold.

Ed was a retired electrician from Consolidation Coal Company, a member of the Uniontown Presbyterian Church where he served as Elder, Pulpit Committee Chairman, and Trustee, he was an Army Air Corps veteran of WWII, and member of St. Clairsville VFW Post 5356.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, and three brothers.

Surviving are his wife, Mary Louise Law Griswold; two daughters, Nancy Griswold of Shade, Ohio, and Jane (Michael) Tolpa of Wheeling; a sister, Helen Haddick of Unity, PA; a grandson, Justin Tolpa.

Family and friends are invited to attend a graveside service on Thursday at 1:30 p.m. in Longview Cemetery, New Athens with Rodney Bowers officiating.
