Ramsey, Edna V., 91 of Powhatan Point, Ohio died Thursday, February 3, 2011 at her home.
She was born at West Wheeling, Ohio on August 31, 1919 a daughter of the late Pomeroy and Adelia Bruce Nelson.
Edna was a homemaker, former owner & operator of the Captains Lounge and Frosty Treat at Powhatan and President of K. K. & E. Corporation. She was also a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Powhatan and Captina Chapter #489 Order of Eastern Star at Powhatan.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Allen Knute Ramsey; her son Kay N. Ramsey; brothers Clyde and Willard Nelson and sisters Mabel Jennewein, Ellen Vostatek, Lula Keene, Mildred Townson and Annie Darrah.
She is survived by her daughter-in-law, B. K. Ramsey of Powhatan Point; grandchildren Alan Skip Ramsey and Kiz (Dan) Rush all of Powhatan and Tyler (Kim) Ramsey of Virginia Beach, Va.; great grandchildren Jacob, Zoe, Joshua and Katie; best friend, Bobbie June Horvath; several nieces and nephews.
Friends will be received at the family residence at 96 Ben Avenue, Powhatan Point on Sunday from Noon to 8 p.m. where Eastern Star Services will be held at 4:00 p.m. Funeral services will be held Monday at 11:00 a.m. in the First Presbyterian Church, Powhatan Point. Burial will follow in Powhatan Cemetery.
