Mary Edna Lucas, 92, most recently of Cambridge , Ohio and formerly of Centerville , Ohio , returned to God peacefully on Thursday, March 12, 2009, at the Southeastern Ohio Medical Center in Cambridge .

Edna was previously a member of the Concord Presbyterian Church in Centerville .

Following graduation from Bellaire High School , she worked at the Bellaire Enamel Company until starting her family. Following the death of her husband, Kenneth W. Lucas in 1960, she worked for a number of years in the bakery at Riesbecks Grocery to support her family.

Edna was a voracious reader who required numerous library trips and was a very active cross word puzzler. Her ability to spend hours working the most difficult crossword puzzles were legendary. She was the most positive person and viewed life through rose colored glasses and never, ever complained.

She is survived by her sister Cile Braun and four children, Roger ( Frances ), Bob (Karen), Nancy Wilson (Dale) and Tom (Brenda). Beloved by nine grandchildren and doted on by fourteen great grandchildren and loved by three nieces.

Edna was and always will remain the pillar and inspiration for her family. She never was too occupied or consumed with what she was doing to accommodate her children, grand children or great grandchildren. All of whom will miss her dearly.

Visitation will be at 12:00 at the Toothman Funeral Home in Jacobsburg, Ohio with services to follow at 1:00 and burial at the Concord Presbyterian Cemetery, Centerville, Ohio.
