Earl Virgil Winzenreid Sr., 93, of Key Ridge, Ohio died Friday, September 28, 2018 at Shadyside Care Center, Shadyside, Ohio.

He was born in Harrisville, Ohio on April 4, 1925, a son of the late William Ernest and Sophia Louise Schemrich Winzenreid.

Earl was a farmer and carpenter. He enjoyed gardening, hunting, fishing and watching football.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by two brothers, Harold and Charles Winzenreid and two sisters, Dorothy Ferrell and Zelda Workman.

Surviving are his loving wife of 67 years, Helen Helms Winzenreid; three sons, Ernie (Cathy) Winzenreid, Earl (Cathy) Winzenreid Jr. and Scott Winzenreid; two grandsons, Shane (Chasiti) Winzenreid and Curt Winzenreid; a great grandson, Spencer Winzenreid; several nieces and nephews.

Family and friends will be received at the Toothman Funeral Home in Jacobsburg, Ohio on Tuesday from 11 a.m. until time of services at 1 p.m. with Wayne Clark officiating. Burial follows at Holly Memorial Gardens in Pleasant Grove.
