Greer, E. Earl, 80 of St. Clairsville, Ohio died Tuesday, June 14, 2011 at Wheeling Hospital.

He was born at Findlay, Ohio on April 3, 1931 a son of the late Lincoln Earl Greer and Mary Louise Fink Greer.

Earl was the first Director and former President of Belmont Technical College and was a retired sales agent from Metropolitan Life Insurance Co. Wheeling office. He was a member of Thoburn United Methodist Church at St. Clairsville, the Carey Lodge #420 F.& A.M. at Carey, Ohio, Scottish Rite, Valley of Steubenville, Osiris Shrine at Wheeling, Ohio Retired Teachers Assoc., American Legion Post #159 at St. Clairsville and was an Army veteran of the Korean War.

In addition to his parents Earl was preceded in death by his sister, Dorothy Greer Wolf.

He is survived by his wife, Norma G. Keene Greer; his daughter, Cindy (Ron) Wood of Lebanon, Ohio; his son, Jeff (Jesica) Greer of Hilliard, Ohio and grandchildren, Matthew and Abby Wood.

Friends will be received at the Toothman Funeral Home, St. Clairsville, Ohio on Friday from 1:00 p.m. until time of services at 2:00 p.m. with Rev. Laurie Armstrong officiating. Burial will follow in Belmont County Memorial Park, St. Clairsville.
