Douglas McCann Kindler, 70, born August 15, 1955, in Walnut Creek, California to the late Dorsey and Jane Holme Kindler, died Tuesday, February 3, 2026.

Douglas served his community for many years as a farmer, where he formed strong values and a connection with the outdoors. He especially enjoyed fishing in his free time. Douglas had many other interests, including reading non-fiction literature, and spreading his generosity to both people and charities. Most of all, Douglas valued conversations. He loved and genuinely enjoyed talking with anyone, anywhere.

He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother, Dr. Dorsey B. Kindler Jr., and his long-time companion Rita Jo Lindsay.

Surviving is his sister Karen (Carl) Kotlarchik; his brother Dean (Christy) Kindler; and many nieces and nephews.

As per his wishes, no visitation or funeral services are planned.
