Vernon Douglas Crall, 68 of Shadyside, Ohio died Monday, January 8, 2018 at his home.
He was born April 30, 1949 in Bellaire, Ohio, a son of the late Robert Crall and Wanda Jean Goddard Crall.
Doug was an auto body repairman and painter, a former employee of D&K Excavating, HLC Trucking, and Ferro Alloys.
He was a kind and loving man and enjoyed working on cars, riding his Harley and side by side, and driving his Camaro.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a great granddaughter, Julianna Young.
Surviving are his wife, Doreen Swain Crall; four children, Tina (Darrell) Hamilton of Barnesville, Tomasina (Joe) Saffell of Powhatan Point, Taffany (Travis) Rosen of Powhatan Point, and Douglas (Kathy) Crall of Beallsville; three step-children, Angela (Daniel) Hanes of Port St. Lucy, FL. Brian (Tiffany) Burnfield of Port St. Lucy, FL, and Tianna Hughes of Wheeling; adopted son, Ian Swain of Barnesville; two brothers, Robert (Darlene) Crall of Coconut Beach, FL, and Roger Crall of Armstrongs Mills; nine grandchildren, Trish Young, Ranae Dornon, Joey Saffell, Jr., Brett Rosen, Maegan Fuller, Colten Rosen, Dylan Crall, Ryley Crall, and Heath Rosen; five step grandchildren, Courtney Stephens, Deven Stephens, Brandon Hamilton, Kylie Burnfield and Kenzie Burnfield; four great grandchildren, Hayle & Jase Young, Lexi & Chase Dornon; father and mother-in-law, Junior and Fanchon Swain; brother-in-law, David Swain; sister-in-law, Donna Wright.
Family and friends are invited to attend a memorial service on Sunday, January 14 at 2 p.m. at the Masonic Hall in Powhatan Point, Ohio.
