Dorothy Ann Spano, 85, of Lafferty, Ohio died July 26, 2018 in Wheeling Hospital.

She was born in Crabapple, Ohio January 7, 1933 daughter of Charles Smith and Helen Hennebert Smith Johnson.

Dorothy was a loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother and great-great grandmother. retired cook from Oakview County Home. She was a member of the Church of Christ in St. Clairsville, the Flushing Senior Center and Flushing American Legion Auxiliary.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Spano; a son, Michael Spano; grandson, Christopher Spano; granddaughter, Durrenda Spano-Lyknis and son-in-law, Gary McMillen.

Dorothy is survived by her five children, Linda McMillen of Barnesville, Joseph (Linda) Spano of Flushing, Kevin (Theresa) Spano of Shadyside, Greg (Tina) Spano of Somerton and Michalle (Dan) Jendrusik of Lafferty; a brother, Charles Smith Jr. and a Half-sister, Sandra Feeney both of Lafayette, Indiana; ten grandchildren, Melissa Campbell, Brian McMillen, Eric Spano, Chad Spano, Danielle Pierce, Scott Spano, Kevin Spano Jr., Jason Spano, Eileen Spano and Micha Covert; 20 great grandchildren and 8 great great grandchildren.

Family and friends will be received at Toothman Funeral Home in St. Clairsville, Ohio on Monday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. where services will be held on Tuesday at 11 a.m. with Brad Schrum officiating.  Burial will follow in Holly Memorial Gardens, Pleasant Grove.
