Dorothy J. Snodgrass, 93, of St. Clairsville, Ohio died February 22, 2019 at her home.

She was born June 21, 1925 at her family home near St. Clairsville, daughter of the late Lawrence Cook and Edna May Hoover Cook.

Dorothy was a farmer and retired employee of the Marx Toy Factory. She enjoyed gardening, flowers, birds, her dogs and reading the newspaper.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Charles L. Snodgrass, a son, Jimmy Theiss; three brothers, Bob, Bill and Sam Cook and two sisters, Nancy Matty and Betty Cook.

Surviving are her son, Chuck Snodgrass; a daughter, Katherine "Becky" Jeffe; four grandchildren, Theresa, Heather, Heidi and Melinda; several great grandchildren; and her caregivers, Darla Kitzmiller, Diana Roberts, Chastitye Hranko, Lora Schroeder and Nicole Mercer.

Family and friends will be received on Wednesday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. at Toothman Funeral Home in St. Clairsville, where services will be held on Thursday at 11 a.m. with Roger Snodgrass officiating.  Burial will follow in Holly Memorial Gardens in Pleasant Grove.
