Dorothy Ann Shrieve, 86, of Barton, Ohio died Wednesday, May 18, 2016 in Liza's Place, Wheeling, WV.

She was born in Barton, Ohio on September 27, 1929, a daughter of the late Frank and Julie Kuhn Horvath.

Dorothy was a loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother and sister. She was a member of Barton United Methodist Church.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Samuel Shrieve Sr.; three sisters, Helen Matthews, Kathryn Clifford and Betty Manukin; two brothers, Al and Frank Horvath and a grandson.

Surviving are seven children, Sam Shrieve Jr. of Bridgeport, Richard "Rick" Shrieve of Maynard, Diane Hines of St. Clairsville, Deborah Smith of Oregon, Susan Earliwine of Crescent, Julie Ann Shrieve of Barton and Melissa Hitt of Senecaville; five brothers, Jack Horvath of Canton, Jim Horvath of Glen Robbins, Robert Horvath of Dillonvale, Ronnie Horvath of Barton and Richard Horvath of Florida; twenty-one grandchildren; many great grandchildren, great great grandchildren.

Family and friends will be received on Friday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. at Toothman Funeral Home in St. Clairsville, where services will be held on Saturday at 11 a.m., with Rev. Henry Mooney officiating. Burial will follow in Union Cemetery, St. Clairsville.
