Dorothy Sadowski, 91, of Cadiz, formerly of Stewartsville, Ohio died February 20, 2018 in the Harrison County Nursing Home. She was born in Glencoe, Ohio on September 26, 1926, a daughter of the late Ludwig and Katherine Turkoly. Dorothy was a loving wife, mother and grandmother and Catholic by faith. She was old fashioned and hard working and enjoyed country music and wildlife. She recently received a 70 Year Award from the SNPJ Lodge. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Pete "Big Pete" Sadowski; a son, John Sadowski; three brothers, Matt, Milan and Nick; and five sisters, Josephine, Ann, Barbie, Mary and Mandy. Surviving are two sons, Joseph (Linda) Sadowski of Shadyside and George (Tricia) Sadowski of Alabama; a daughter, Delores (Martin) Vale of Cadiz; four granddaughters, Denise Bell, Sherry Hickman, Susan Wallace and Carrie Richey; three grandsons, Todd Sadowski, Chris Sadowski and Michael Vale; 8 great grandchildren; several special nieces and nephews. Family and friends will be received at Toothman Funeral Home in St. Clairsville, Ohio on Friday from 11 a.m. until time of service at 2 p.m. with Father Dan Heusel officiating. Burial will follow in Holly Memorial Gardens, Pleasant Grove.
