Dorothy M. Lamp Byers, 74 of Barnesville, Ohio died Friday, December 26, 2003 in East Ohio Regional Hospital, Martins Ferry, Ohio. She was born January 22, 1929 in Beatrice, WV, a daughter of the late Everett D. Lamp and Avis Lee Haught Lamp.

Dorothy was a Church of Christ member.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Duane and Denver Lamp.

Surviving are her husband, Charles "Chuck" Byers; three sons, Eugene P. Byers of Warwood, WV., Kenneth J. Byers at home, and Charles E. Byers, Jr. of Flushing, OH; four brothers, Jack Lamp of Massillon, OH, Robert Lamp of Brewster, OH, Roger Lamp of Canton, OH and Larry Lamp of Coshocton, OH; three sisters, Lourie Barnes of St. Clairsville, Ohio, Helen Rogers of Canton, OH and Judy Carpenter of Columbus, OH; three grandchildren.

Friends will be received at the Toothman Funeral Home, 141 S. Marietta St., St. Clairsville, OH on Sunday from 2 to 4 & 6 to 8 p.m. where services will be held on Monday at 1:00 p.m. Burial follows in Glencoe Cemetery, Glencoe, Ohio.
