Dorothy Jane Jeffers, 89, of Bethesda, Ohio, died September 9, 2023, in East Ohio Regional Hospital in Martins Ferry, Ohio.

She was born March 3, 1934, a daughter of the late Hazel Billitter Bell and Osburne Bell.

Dorothy was a retired waitress and former cook at the former Bell Nursing Home in Morristown.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Albert Russell Jeffers Sr.; three children, John Bradley Paskel, Marsha Lynn Garvin, and Michael Allen Paskel; brothers and sisters.

Dorothy is survived by her daughter, Sherry K. (Bill) Powell, a sister, Geraldine West, many grandchildren, and many great grandchildren.

Family and friends will be received at the Toothman Funeral Home in St. Clairsville, Ohio, on Wednesday from 11 a.m. until time of service at Noon, with Pastor Dave St. Aubin officiating. The burial will follow in Warnock Cemetery.
