Dorothy Hardesty passed away on August 2 nd at the age of 83. She was born in Maynard, Ohio in April of 1937.
She graduated from St. Clairsville High School in 1955 and attended Kent State University.
An excellent home maker, mother, and grandmother. Dorothy worked as an Avon Lady. She also worked at Twin Valu supermarket and McDonalds. Her favorite occupation was working with children as a playground supervisor at Holden Elementary School in Kent.
She was a long-time member of Holy Family Parish in Stow, Ohio.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 61 years, C. Richard Hardesty, and parents Tony and Helen Sanda.
Dorothy is survived by her son, Douglas of Chardon, Ohio and Grandson Ian (Samantha) Hardesty of Chardon, Ohio, brother Bob Sanda of Solon, Ohio and sister-in-law Nancy (Baugh) Hardesty of Beulah, Colorado, as well as nieces and nephews.
Cremation has taken place. A private family burial will take place at a later date at Union Cemetery in St. Clairsville, Ohio. Arrangements were entrusted to Toothman Funeral Home in St. Clairsville.
