Brown, Dorothy Irene Plahuta, 85 of Glencoe, Ohio died Tuesday, April 12, 2011 at Forest Hill Nursing Home in St. Clairsville.
She was born December 5, 1925 in Neffs, Ohio, a daughter of the late Frank Plahuta and Laura Paske Plahuta.
Dorothy was a former school bus driver for St. Clairsville-Richland Schools and a former glass painter for Imperial Glass of Bellaire. She was a Catholic by faith, an avid gardener and veracious reader.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Gerald Walter Brown; two brothers, Francis and Eugene Plahuta.
Surviving are two children, G. Michael (Debbie) Brown of St. Clairsville, and Jeanne (Gregory) Johnson of Hannibal, Ohio; her loving friend and companion, John Premilovich of St. Clairsville; three grandchildren, Ryan Brown of St. Clairsville, Zachary Brown of Columbus, and Erin Brown of St. Clairsville.
Friends will be received at Toothman Funeral Home in St. Clairsville on Friday from 2 to 4 & 6 to 8 p.m. and on Saturday from 10 a.m. until time of service at 11 a.m. with Father Thomas Chillog officiating. Burial follows in Union Cemetery, St. Clairsville.
