Doris W. Schlanz, 86, of St. Clairsville, Ohio, died Thursday, February 25, 2021, at Continuing Healthcare of Shadyside. She was born May 6, 1934, in Flushing, Ohio, a daughter of the late Floyd H. and Luella Arn Whiston.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Schlanz in 1986; two brothers, David L. Whiston and Donald F. Whiston and one sister, June L. Casto.

Surviving are two daughters, Lisa (Thomas) Kopp of Covington, Georgia, and Anita (David) Brandon, of Belmont, Ohio; grandchildren, William (Lexie) Hess, Jr., Autumn Burnett, and David (Elizabeth) Mengon; 6 great grandchildren; 5 bonus grandchildren and 9 bonus great-grandchildren; and a sister, Elaine Goddard of New Philadelphia, Ohio.

Private services will be held at the convenience of the family with Pastor Terry Lucarelli officiating. Burial will follow in Union Cemetery. Arrangements are entrusted to Toothman Funeral Home in St. Clairsville, Ohio.
