Doris Jean Long Ramsey, 78, of Jacobsburg, Ohio, died Wednesday, July 27, 2005 at Shadyside Care Center.

She was born on January 22, 1927 in Fairmont, West Virginia, daughter of the late Hobert Elsworth Long and Jaursia Drusilla Ash Long.

In addition to her parents, Doris was preceded in death by her husband, Dean D. Ramsey Sr.; two sons, Robert Ramsey Sr. and Randy Ramsey Sr.; three sisters, Mary Nicholas, Lenora Halio and an infant; five brothers, Robert, Ralph and Russell Long and two infants; and a great grandson.

Surviving are her children, Dean D. Ramsey Jr. and Darrell Ramsey Sr. and his wife Marilyn all of Jacobsburg, Kathy Skaggs of Belmont and Dorothy DeGenova and her husband Lou of Shadyside; two sisters, Louise DeVault and her husband Leonard of Dilliner, Pennsylvania and Elma Efaw of Levittstown, Pennsylvania; two brothers, Richard Long of Warren, Ohio and Ray Long and wife Cherie of Streetsboro, Ohio; 15 grandchildren; 20 great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.

Private services will be held at the convenience of the family. Toothman Funeral Home in Jacobsburg is in charge of arrangements.
