Doris Marlene Luyster, 89, of St. Clairsville, OH passed away on Thursday, March 9, 2023 at Astoria Place in Barnesville, OH.  She was born June 29, 1933 in Canton, OH., a daughter of the late Werner and Hedwig Schmid Lechner.

Doris was an employee of Hillandale Farms in Flushing, OH and Sam's Club as a Demo and a Protestant by faith.  She was a member of Flushing Senior Center and a member of the former Canton Chapter of Swiss Ladies Auxiliary.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Gale Luyster in 2022; sisters, Mildred Hein, her twin sister Dolores Painter and Eleanor Kutcher; brothers, Eldon Lechner and an infant brother.

Surviving are her children, James Edward Luyster and Kim (Art) Zalesny, both of St. Clairsville.

Family and friends will be received on Wednesday from 2-4 & 6-8 pm at Toothman Funeral Home, St. Clairsville with funeral services on Thursday at 11 am with Chaplain Kris Bright officiating.  Burial will follow in Holly Memorial Gardens, Pleasant Grove, OH.
