Donald S. Vigoffi, 87, of Lafferty, Ohio died Sunday, April 15, 2018 at his home.

He was born August 19, 1930 in Fairpoint, Ohio, a son of the late Savino John Vigoffi and Myrtle Virginia Pettry Vigoffi.

Donald was a retired dragline operator for Bologna Coal Company in Pittsburgh. He was a member of the former St. Mary's Catholic Church in Lafferty and a U.S. Army veteran.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Frieda Frakowski, and two brothers, Frank Vigoffi and Harold Vigoffi, Sr.

Surviving are his loving wife of 65 years, Loretta Calovini Vigoffi; four children, Susan (Tim), David (Lisa), Lisa (Phil) and Daniel (Lena); a sister, Yvonne (Jim) Fillon; sisters-in-law, Rose Vigoffi and Lana Vigoffi; several grandchildren and great grandchildren; special nieces and nephews.

Private services will be held at the convenience of the family with burial in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Lafferty. Arrangements entrusted to Toothman Funeral Home in St. Clairsville.

Memorial contributions may be made to Gate of Heaven Cemetery or Valley Hospice.
