Donald Charles Stokes, Sr., 72 of Pipe Creek Rd., Jacobsburg died Wednesday, June 16, 2004 at his home.
He was born May 8, 1932 in Jacobsburg. A son of the late Richard Stokes and Carrie Graham Stokes.
He was a retired employee of Wheeling-Pittsburgh Steel's Martins Ferry Plant, a Methodist, and an Air Force veteran of the Korean War.
Surviving are his wife, Virginia Lee Palmer Stokes; two daughters, April Koonce and her husband Terry and Robin Virginia Day and her husband David of Jacobsburg; a son, Donald Charles Stokes, Jr. and his wife Ronda of Jacobsburg; two brothers, Robert Stokes of Warnock, Richard Duane Stokes of Shadyside: three sisters, Twila Layton of Fairborn, Ohio, Blanch Murray of Springfield, Ohio and Mary Davidson of Marysville, Ohio; 6 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild.
There will be no visitation or service.
