Donald Leroy Nicholes, 88, of St. Clairsville, Ohio, died May 25, 2024, in Park Health Center.

He was born December 14, 1935, in Barnesville, Ohio, a son of the late John and Virginia McEndree Nicholes.

Don was a former owner and operator of M.E.N. Tree Service. He was a member of the former Lloydsville United Methodist Church. In his younger years, Don enjoyed hunting.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his loving wife, Rosalie Grace Rinkes Nicholes; two infant children, John Donald Nicholes and Beth Ann Nicholes; two brothers, Delbert (Donna) Nicholes, and Robert Nicholes; four sisters, Delores (Herman) Crooks, Silvia (Larry) Neuhart, Florence Lent, and Patricia Perkins; brothers-in-law, Ernest Roe, Wayne Rinkes and Harry Rinkes; sisters-in-law, Yvonna Nicholes and Betty Orr; nieces and nephews.

Don is survived by his son, Mark Nicholes, a sister, Shirley Roe of Old Washington, Ohio, a brother, Willis Nicholes of Quaker City, Ohio, and several nieces and nephews.

Family and friends will be received at Toothman Funeral Home in St. Clairsville, Ohio on Sunday, June 9, 2024, from 1 p.m. until time of memorial service at 2:30 p.m., with Rev. Kevin Rinkes officiating. Private burial will be held in Union Cemetery, St. Clairsville, Ohio.
