Obituary

Donald R. "Mutt" Ault, age 86, of Centerville, Ohio, died Saturday, October 28, 2006 at Park Health Center in St. Clairsville. He was born in Centerville, October 16, 1920, a son of the late Andrew and Mary Wells Ault.

Donald was an Army veteran serving in Japan during World War II. He was a farmer and retired from Union Local Schools as a bus driver, and from Ohio Valley Paving as a construction worker. He was a member of the Centerville Christian Church.

Surviving are his wife, Lillian Ault of Centerville; two sons, Larry Ault and his wife Bonnie of Lancaster, Ohio and James Ault and his wife Carol of Athens, Ohio; one daughter, Kathy Halbert and her husband Fred of Parkersburg, West Virginia; sister-in-law, Kay Hess and her husband Jim of Senecaville, Ohio; six grandchildren; and five great grandchildren. Also surviving are many nieces, nephews and friends.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by four brothers, Meek, Joe, Clarence and Charles Ault; and two sisters, Clara Delaney and Evelyn Young.

Friends will be received at Toothman Funeral Home in Jacobsburg on Monday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. where services will be held on Tuesday at 11 a.m. with John Martin officiating. Burial will follow at Concord Cemetery in Centerville.
