Donald Lee "Poopy" McPherson, 81 of Cash Ridge Rd., Shadyside, Ohio died Thursday, June 28, 2018.

He was born August 21, 1936 in McMechen, WV, a son of the late Donald Alexander McPherson and Frances Willard Goodwin McPherson.

Don was a retired welder from Ohio Ferro Alloy and Mull Machine, a member of Old Wegee United Methodist Church in Shadyside, Shadyside Lodge #724 F&AM, and Ohio Gun Collectors Association.

He loved car shows, gardening, gun collecting, hunting and fishing, blacksmithing, and story telling.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Patricia "Pat" Day McPherson.

Surviving are three children, Shari (Chuck) Taylor of Bellaire, Denise (Dave) Neavin of Shadyside, and Jon (Brandy) McPherson of Shadyside; a sister, Nancy (Bob) Ripple of Virginia; nine grandchildren, Ashley (Corey) Martin, Chelsey (Josh) Taylor, Jaymes (Jessi) Taylor, David (Amanda) Neavin, Sarah (Ethan) Neavin, Hunter (Ashley) McPherson, Mandy (Dustin) Ondrick, Hunter Minney, and Chevy Minney; great grandchildren, Jayce Taylor, Jolene Taylor, Colt Martin, Ava McPherson, and soon to be, Jonah Taylor; many nieces and nephews.

Friends will be received at Toothman Funeral Home in Jacobsburg on Monday from 1 to 3 p.m. & 5 to 8 p.m. where services will be held on Tuesday at noon with Pastor Larry Helms officiating.

Burial will follow in Holly Memorial Gardens, Pleasant Grove.

Shadyside Lodge #724 F&AM will conduct a Masonic Service at 7 p.m. Monday in the funeral home.
