Donald William Hynes, 89, of St. Clairsville, Ohio died Wednesday, December 19, 2018 in Wheeling Hospital.

He was born October 28, 1929 in St. Clairsville, a son of the late William S. and Freda May Ault Hynes.

Don was a retired plant supervisor for Picoma Industries in Martins Ferry.  He was a member of Thoburn United Methodist Church, a U.S. Navy veteran of the Korean War, a member of St. C. American Legion Post 159 and member of the St. C. Bassmaster's Club.

In addition to his parents, Don was preceded in death by his loving wife of 64 years, Alice Marie Kovack Hynes.

Surviving are his wife, Mary Lucas Hynes; a son, Donald L. (Karen) Hynes of St. Clairsville; two daughters, Darla (James) Tennant and Debra (Kenneth) Neavin both of St. Clairsville; a sister, Barbara J. Harris of Mt. Vernon, Ohio; eight grandchildren, Dallas "D.J." Hynes, Shayla Hynes, Dustin Hynes, Scott Tennant, Casey Tennant, Emily Tennant, Jamie Marshall and Lindsey Clark; five great grandchildren, Evelyn, Charlotte, Turner, Alice and Carson.

Family and friends will be received on Friday, Dec. 21 ^st from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. at Toothman Funeral Home in St. Clairsville where services will be held on Saturday at 11 a.m. with Rev. Tom Jones officiating.  Burial will follow in Union Cemetery.

Military Honors will be conducted at the funeral home Friday at 7:45 p.m. by the Belmont County Veteran's Association.
