Donald W. Gulley, 81, of Key, Ohio, died Friday, December 12, 2014 in Acuity Specialty Hospital in Bellaire.
He was born May 30, 1933 in Shadyside, Ohio, son of the late Archie Gulley and Florence Icenhauer Gulley.
Don was a member of the Jacobsburg Bible Church.
He was a loving and caring husband, father, grandfather, and neighbor. In an autobiography project done by his grandson, Don was quoted as saying, "I feel like I've met all my goals, that's a big accomplishment. You really can't expect more out of life than what I got."
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Jerry and Roger Gulley; two sisters, Joyce Friend and Jalene Hanlin.
Surviving are his loving wife of 60 years, Patsy Clay Gulley; a daughter, Jami (John) Robison of Little Hocking, Ohio; a son, Gerald R. (Dana) Gulley of Key; three grandchildren, Jared Donald Gulley, Erin (Joshua) Watkins and Sara (Josiah) Vincent; two great grandchildren, Elijah and Lucas Watkins; a brother, Jack (Sandy) Gulley of Shadyside; a sister, Mitzi (Ralph) Strong of Jacobsburg; two sisters-in-law, Ella Mae Gulley and Sue Gulley both of Key; brother-in-law, Golden Hanlin of Maryland; nieces and nephews.
Private services will be held at the convenience of the family. Arrangements are entrusted to Toothman Funeral Home in Jacobsburg.
