Donald F. Greenwood, age 76, of Howard, Ohio, formerly of St. Clairsville died Thursday, April 20, 2006 at Mt. Carmel East Medical Center in Columbus, Ohio. He was born in Shadyside, Ohio on June 7, 1929, son of the late John and Mary Mellott Greenwood.

Donald was retired from the Wheeling Pittsburgh Steel Corporation, Wheeling office. He was a St. John?s High School graduate and graduate of the former Elliott Business College in Wheeling. Don was a U. S. Army veteran of the Korean War and he was a former member of the St. Mary?s Catholic Church in St. Clairsville.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Surviving are his wife, Emma Snedeker Greenwood; his children, Thomas (Jane) Greenwood of Clifton Forge, Virginia, David Greenwood of Fleming, Ohio, Richard (Gloria) Greenwood of Howard, Ohio and Susan Greenwood of the home; a brother, J. Richard (Mary Lou) Greenwood of Owasso, Oklahoma; seven grandchildren, Kevin, Katie and Zack Greenwood, George (Meredith), Gary and Gwyn Schwindt, Geri (Perrin) Peacock; two great granddaughters, Sophia and Ciel Peacock; 7 devoted nieces and nephews.

Family and friends will be received at the Toothman Funeral Home in St. Clairsville on Sunday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. A Vigil Service will be held on Sunday at 8:30 p.m. Funeral Liturgy with Mass will be celebrated at St. Mary?s Catholic Church in St. Clairsville on Monday at 10 a.m. with Father Christopher Foxhoven, the celebrant. Burial will be held at the convenience of the family at Holly Memorial Gardens in Pleasant Grove.
