Dolph Faurote Jr., 81, of Lee Rd., St. Clairsville died Thursday, May 5, 2005 at his home.
He was born June 25, 1923 in Rushville, Indiana. A son of the late Dolph Faurote, Sr. and Luna Lee Faurote.
He was a Christian, an Army Air Corp veteran of WWII, a lifetime member of Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 5356 in St. Clairsville, and the American Legion Post in Shelbyville, Indiana.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Lillian Ryckman Faurote; sisters, Jean Hutchinson and Janet Wilson; brother, Kenneth Faurote.
Surviving are a daughter, Sharon Sim of St. Clairsville; a son, Dolph Faurote, III of St. Clairsville; a sister, Lois McDaniels of Indianapolis, Indiana.; 5 grandchildren and 29 great grandchildren.
Friends will be received on Sunday from 1 to 3 and 5 to 8 p.m. at the Toothman Funeral Home in St. Clairsville where services will be held at 1:00 pm on Monday with Rev. Darrell McVay officiating. Burial follows in Short Creek Cemetery, Georgetown.
Military graveside services will be conducted by the Belmont County Council of VFW?S.
